CHILDREN’S BOOK REVIEW AS A WRITER AND READER

  • Witty homage to Poe’s The Raven
  • Adorable and expressive illustrations
  • Fun and engaging for both kids and parents
  • Great for fans of classic literature and bedtime stories.
  • As an author, I loved the bold move of opening the story with a scary sentence.
  • Young children and many parents may not understand Poe’s references. It’s a lost opportunity for creatively marvellous work.
  • The opening sentence – Once upon a midnight dreary – gave me a Gothic feeling As a parent, I would not expect that in children’s books.
